Our commitment
The articles, guides and explainers on aranlaw.in are written to help individuals and businesses understand Indian law — including debt recovery, intellectual property, commercial disputes and allied matters. We treat this as a serious responsibility. Where the law affects a reader’s money, rights or livelihood, accuracy is not optional, and this policy sets out how we earn and keep your trust.
This page explains who creates our content, the sources we rely on, how every article is reviewed, how we use technology, and how we correct mistakes when they occur.
Written and supervised by legal professionals
Our content is prepared by, or under the supervision of, advocates and legal professionals enrolled with the Bar Council and experienced in the relevant area of practice. Subject-matter knowledge sits with the people who do this work day to day, not with anonymous content writers.
- Every substantive legal article is authored or vetted by a qualified member of our team with relevant practice experience.
- Where an external contributor assists with drafting, the final piece is reviewed and approved by an in-house legal professional before publication.
- Author and reviewer details are identified on the page where appropriate, so you know who stands behind the information.
Primary sources first
We build our content on authoritative, verifiable sources and prefer primary law over secondary commentary. Our standard sources include:
- Bare Acts and statutes as enacted by Parliament and State Legislatures, together with applicable Rules and notifications.
- Reported judgments of the Supreme Court of India, High Courts and tribunals.
- Official Government and regulatory sources for example, the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks (IP India), Ministry portals, RBI and the Official Gazette.
- Established legal databases and recognised commentaries, used to locate and confirm never to replace the underlying primary law.
Statutory provisions and case law are cited so that readers and other professionals can verify them independently.
Nothing is published without review
Each article moves through a defined editorial workflow before it goes live:
- Drafting - research and a first draft, grounded in primary sources.
- Legal review - a qualified professional checks the legal reasoning, statutory references and citations for accuracy.
- Editorial review - the piece is checked for clarity, plain language, structure and consistency.
- Approval and dating - the article is approved for publication and stamped with a publication or "last reviewed" date.
The law changes - so do we
Indian law evolves through amendments, new rules and fresh judgments. Content that was correct when written can become outdated. To address this, we review our key legal articles periodically and after significant legal developments, and we display a publication or “last reviewed” date so you can judge how current a piece is.
Assisted by tools, accountable to people
We may use research and writing tools, including AI-assisted drafting, to improve efficiency and readability. These tools support our team; they do not replace professional judgment. Every article that uses such assistance is reviewed, fact-checked and approved by a qualified member of our team, who remains fully responsible for its accuracy. We do not publish unreviewed machine-generated content.
Information, not influence
Our editorial content is created to inform, and it is kept separate from any commercial or promotional considerations. We do not allow third parties to dictate the conclusions of our legal articles. Where any content is sponsored, partnered or contains affiliate or promotional links, that relationship will be clearly disclosed.
We fix errors Openly
Despite careful review, errors can occur. If you believe something on this site is inaccurate or out of date, please tell us at [[email protected]]. We review every report promptly and, where a correction is warranted, we update the article and — for material changes — note the correction and the date.
An important boundary
Content on aranlaw.in is provided for general information and educational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice, is not a substitute for advice from a qualified advocate, and does not create an advocate–client relationship. Laws differ by facts, jurisdiction and timing; you should obtain professional advice tailored to your circumstances before acting. Please read this Editorial Policy together with our full Disclaimer and Privacy Policy.
Within Professional Norms
This website and its content are intended only to provide information and to share knowledge about legal developments. Consistent with the Rules of the Bar Council of India, nothing on this site is intended to solicit work, advertise, or amount to an inducement of any kind. There is no advertisement, personal communication, solicitation, invitation or inducement to create an advocate–client relationship through this website.
